Children's Complex Care Support Worker - Bolton

Job description

 Children's Complex Care Support Worker - Early Mornings, occasional Weekends and School Holidays (Driver Essential)

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Support Worker to join a close-knit care team, working alongside the family to provide personalised support for a 14-year-old girl with cerebral palsy in the comfort of her own home. If you are gentle, fun-loving, and passionate about making a difference, we would love to hear from you!

The role involves all aspects of personal care, manual handling, PEG feeding, administration of medication and support with communication. The client has her own wheelchair accessible vehicle which you will be required to drive on occasions.

Due to the personal nature of the care provided, the client and her family have expressed a preference for female carers.


As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide care in accordance with best practices, legislative requirements, and agreed standards, under the direction of the Case Manager, Nurse and Family.
  • Deliver tailored, person-centred care unique to our client to support and enable her in maintaining skills and personal interests.
  • Collaborate with families and therapists to achieve optimal care and rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Monitor and record the client’s health and rehabilitation progress using electronic care records and EMAR systems.
  • Support the client with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, manual handling, medication administration, and communication.

Location:

The client’s residential home in Bolton, with flexibility to work at other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.


Pay:

£14.42 day rate

£15.62 weekend rate


Working Hours:

Part time. Must be available to start at 6am on weekdays. Occasional Weekend hours and school holiday availability required.
