Support Workers Needed - Deliver Life-Changing Care in a Home Setting - Bury

PA Role

Female Support Worker required to support 2 ladies with physical disabilities in Bury


Pay

• £13.48 p/h Week Rate

• £14.84 p/h Weekend Rate 

• £20.22 p/h Bank Holiday rate

• Sleep Night - £12.21 per hour (7 hour sleep shift)


Working Pattern

This is a 24-hour support package, so flexibility is essential. The role includes a mixture of:

• Day shifts

• Waking night shifts

• Sleep-in shifts

Job Summary:

The clients are adult twins with cerebral palsy who each have their own personality, interests, routines, and support needs. They are supported 24 hours a day to live safely, comfortably, and with as much independence as possible in their own home environment.

As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting them to lead fulfilling lives while promoting dignity, choice, and independence. Every day is different, and you'll be encouraged to get to know each client as an individual, providing care that reflects their preferences and goals.

Working under the guidance of the Case Manager/Care Coordinator, you'll collaborate with family members, therapists, and colleagues to ensure consistently high standards of care.


Responsibilities

Your role will include:

• Providing personal care while always maintaining privacy, dignity, and respect.

• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of hoists and moving and handling equipment.

• Supporting communication using appropriate methods, patience, and understanding.

• Administering medication safely in line with prescribed protocols using an electronic medication administration (eMAR) system.

• Supporting nutrition and hydration in accordance with individual care plans.

• Encouraging participation in daily routines, hobbies, leisure activities, and community outings.

• Promoting independence, choice, confidence, and self-expression.

• Maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming, and positive home environment.

• Working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver outstanding person-centred support.

Essential Requirements

• At least 1 year's experience in domiciliary or community care (preferred).

• Fluent spoken and written English.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Care Certificate or equivalent qualification.

• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
